The college offers a course in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation with an intake of 60 students. As it is implicit in the course name, this trade is a fusion of electronic and Instrumentation Engineering
Electronics is an indispensable part of our life. Similarly instrumentation, which is the science of instruments used for measurements and control, is also an integral part of any industry. Apart from the basic electronics & instrumentation papers, the course includes papers on microprocessor and microcontroller based system design, VLSI Technology, computer Networks, Bio Medial Instrumentation, computers in process control, modern control theory and other interesting elective papers.
Hence a graduate in AEI has a wide verity of opportunities open before him/her like jobs in power plants, oil companies, defence field, semiconductor industry, biomedical industry to name a few.
Similarly for research papers the students have a wide range of subjects to choose from. For those who are in pursuit of lucrative software jobs in the logical and mental reasoning ability will be continuously sharpened by the practical laboratory classes in computer programming, microprocessor and microcontroller programming and computerised process control labs which are also part of the course. All the software as well as multinational companies have got an open door policy towards the graduates of this stream.
