Student Association

Srishti, The Civil Association is a vibrant and dynamic organization inaugurated on 13th April 2022 by Er. Krishnapriya P S, AE NREGA , Peruvanthanam Panchayat within our college, dedicated in empowering future civil engineers. Our aim is to cultivate a strong sense of community among civil engineering students, fostering their academic growth and professional development. Through a wide range of engaging activities, workshops, and events, we provide opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge, skills, and passion fort civil engineering. We believe to create excellent engineers through innovation, collaboration, and leadership.

Activity Report (2023-2024)
The Civil Association "Srishti" of Civil engineering Department, organized a civil day called ESTRUCTURA. Er. Animon Mathew delivered a comprehensive technical talk on the "Importance of Engineers in Modern Society" during the Civil Day event in association with Srishti. The talk covered various topics, including the scope of civil engineering, modern methods of construction, and a showcase of his different projects.
A unique event called Artesania, where students showcased their creativity and engineering skills by constructing buildings using craft items. The event aimed to foster innovation and teamwork among the participants while promoting the use of sustainable materials in construction.
We organized a thrilling event called the "Technical Treasure Hunt" on October 19, 2023. The event took place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. A total of 29 teams participated in the treasure hunt, with each team consisting of four members. The event comprised two elimination rounds, where teams competed to solve a series of clues. After the elimination rounds, seven teams qualified for the next round.
Association organized an engaging program called "Gaiety Realm." This event, held on a Thursday, featured a variety of games and activities aimed at fostering camaraderie and entertainment among the participants. The program took place from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM and included popular games such as Colour Up, Blow the Candle,
and Puzzle.
The Gaming Room Event was an exciting and engaging experience for both students and gaming enthusiasts. This report provides an overview of the event, focusing on the equipment, game selection, gaming experience, student participation, and its social impact.
The Deadlift competition "Legacy," a significant part of the annual event "Estructura" .The competition brought together the strength and determination of the students in a test of their power and physical prowess.
The food court was a happy and successful gathering. The star of the show, "Kulukki Sarbath," left a lasting impression on attendees, and the promotion efforts paid off with a satisfied customer base.

Activity Report (2022-2023)

  1. Arch Design and Estimation Competition (Paper Presentation)
    The Civil Engineering association SRISHTI in connection with Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) have conducted Arch Design and Estimation Competition (for college campus) on October 22, 2022. The competition was carried out for students, staff, parents and alumni of the College. A total of 8 team had participated in the competition, in which 7 were students’ team and 1 alumni team. Among which the first prize was secured by the second semester civil engineering students’ team.

  2. Mysteriarch (A Technical Treasure Hunt)
    Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) have conducted a Technical Treasure Hunt competition– Mysteriarch on 15th November 2022 at mini auditorium. A total of 32 team had participated in the competition and the participants were shortlisted to 10 team after 4 rounds. The technical treasure hunt was conducted at the college compound. Team 18 from S3 ME (Alan Rijo, Anandhu Saji, Basil P John and Samuel Joseph) have won the competition and a cash prize of Rs.1000 was given to the team by Dr. S Kamalakannan, Head of the Department, Department of Civil Engineering.
  3. Technical talk on 3ds Max
    A technical talk on 3ds Max on 15-11-2022 2.00 pm at mini auditorium. Mr. Bibin Raj from CADD Point Kuttikanam have taken a session on 3ds Max. Total of 68 students from the second, third and fourth year of civil department have attend the session.
  4. Workshop on Total Station
    One day workshop on Total Station for all the students of Civil Engineering on 15th December 2022. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sudhi Surendran, Total station Trainer, Logic Survey. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Prince Varghese, Director of MBC CET. This workshop provided the opportunity to the students to use Total Station and to learn its procedures and application.
  5. Workshop on BIM
    A workshop on BIM on 20-12-2022, 2.00 pm at CADD Lab. Ms. Gayathri T Mohananan from CADD Point Kuttikanam have taken a session on BIM. Total of 70 students from the second, third and fourth year and of civil department have attend the session.
  6. Paper Presentation
    On 27rd February 2023 from 2 to 4 pm was a successful one. There were participants from all branches. The Abstract was collected on 24th February. There was total 5 teams to represent their innovative ideas. A team consist of four members and the representative took the presentation. A team had a maximum 10 minutes to present their topic and others ask questions for 5 minutes. Judges of the Competition was Prof. Serene K T (Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Department), Prof. Owsu Kurien (Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Department), Prof. Ardra Jayachandran (Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Department), Prof. Shehanas K Salim (Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Department) and Prof. Dani Jennies (Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Department).
    Prof. Ardra Jayachandran and Dr. Sheelu Jones of CE Department, Henes Koshy Alex and Febin Shanibas of S8 CE was coordinated the program. First Prize was given to Henes Koshy Alex of 4rd year CE students got First prize. Priya Mary of S8 CE give the vote of thanks. Students actively participated in this program.
